a slave for my cropped tees

Years ago, Britney Spears started the bare midriff and the low-slung jean trends. While I am still a fan of pants you wear at your waist, I'm trying out the bare midriff ever now and then with my favorite Topshop cropped tees. Balance is key when popping this daring look but always a crowd pleaser so long as your abs are Britney circa Slave for You. I'm workin' on mine for beach-time!

the way to a man's well...everything is through thigh highs

I arrive at Schiller's restaurant wearing a Alexander Wang T sweatshirt, black mini, Grai leather jacket, Wolford thigh highs and Yves Saint Laurent booties. The host greets me excitedly as I walk in and straight to the bar. I grow more confident with his reaction. I sit at an empty stool. There is a man beside me and his friend approaches to fill the empty space between us and strike up conversation. I am pre-occupied. "You are beautiful, " he says extending his hand for a shake (two bad moves by the way.) I smile-still pre-occupied. "Where are you from?" says his cuter blond friend sitting on the other side. I give the usual reply, bored to death of this question but appreciating the attention. Suddenly, trouble approaches. He brushes my hair behind my ear in that signature way, my legs tremble being triggered by the association to... I realize being an object of desire is very exciting but being the object of desire to the one you desire? Well, that's just dangerous.

I See Right Through You

Opening Ceremony accordion halter, Topshop lace crop top, H&M nude mesh tunic, Topshop Mesh front sweatshirt, Kiki de Montparnasse Ingenue Demi Bra

Sometimes it's not about what you put on but what's underneath it. Luckily, sheer is a HUGE trend right now. What do you think ladies? Since we know what the fellas think!

Do you believe in Saint Laurent?

The first time I went to the Vatican, I noticed a very handsome man. He was dressed smartly and seemed to be a bit nervous and rushed. This could have been because there were rumors that the Pope himself was about to come out. But, my imagination contrived a better story. It was lunch time, he looked like a business man or politician of some sort and had most likely come from an afternoon rendezvous with one of his mistresses. Anxious to cleanse himself of his sins before returning home to his miserable wife, he popped by the Vatican for a quick confession. I shared my thoughts with my partner at the time, who thought the idea ridiculous and amusing.

We did not see the Pope that day but as we rode away on our Vespa, I saw the man getting into his chauffeured Mercedes. He seemed relieved. Perhaps my story was true or perhaps he has a thing for nuns as Stefano Pilati seemed to have this season while designing Fall 2010 Yves Saint Laurent. Stefano insists this is not the case but that the collection is about "protection." Exactly.

STELLA

"There were times when he could not read the face he had studied so long, and when this lonely girl was a greater mystery to him than any women of the world..."
- Charles Dickens

Stella McCartney designs for the Stella's out there...as in Great Expectations. Much is left to the imagination, creating an armor of mystery, which is dangerously alluring.

Sexy Witch

"i like your pants"
"really? thank you!"
"yeah, they're like a sexy witch..."

My obsession with stripes has traveled south to my legs and getting rave reviews. Although, it would never seen like a good idea to put horizontal stripes across your thighs they ended up working out.

Sex on a Stick

Fashion Week always saves the best for last; the Paris leg of the marathon has begun. For me, Paris is the be-all-end-all most especially for fashion. They show the very best and Balmain is the best of the best.

This season has been about realwear not show-stopping sex appeal. But, Christophe Decarin is true to what works for Balmain and someone has to deliver the goods. The key Balmain styles were there: strong shoulders, mini's, leather rock & roll leggings but there was something elevated this season. The colors and quality of the fabrications were luxe and the styling more towards intricate than distressed.

Sometimes sexy gets a bad rap, especially amongst fashion critics. Why is it not as legitimate to applaud sexuality? Why are woman so afraid to embrace and employ their sex appeal? Balmain is not about cheap sexy it's chic and edgy sexy. You can't catch a good man with just sex but the Balmain touch will get you quite a few candidates to choose from!

The Undesirable

Conan O'Brien once said that the Sex and the City characters are a gay man's caricature of a woman. I couldn't agree more. But, Tom Ford is a gay man who portrays woman in a way that is still attractive to men. And he is desperately needed back at Gucci! What his predecessor, Frida Giannini, has done is not something only woman or gay men can appreciate-it's just boring! We get it; you like trousers. Decide for yourself.
