Lesson Learned

It's no secret that men LOVE heels. Most men I've met love a sexy kitten heel. So when I was complimented for my YSL architectural ankle bootie, I was nothing short of stunned!


Cut to drinks down in Tribeca at a low key pub; a work function for my sister and her co-workers. Since I always have to get outfit approval from my sister before attending a work event with her, this was the last place I would expect to be complimented. Can Type A financiers appreciate a bit of edge? Apparently so! "I love your shoes," one said. "Really, thank you" I replied. "I like how you can see down into them and they stop at the perfect spot on your calf...good height too." What detail, I thought! I was completely impressed!


Lesson learned. Never judge your audience. Just wear what you love.

Confident? No, Complicated!

"you wear a lot of jewelry," he says grabbing my wrist.
"yeah.." I answer with a laugh
"so what's all this?" he continues
"just for fun but this one made my best friend made me; i always wear it"
"you're a complicated woman" he assesses
"i'm a confident woman?" I ask
"well I said complicated but yes confident as well" he says in an effort to recover

You have no idea, I think to myself as I laugh and walk away.

The Millionaire Matchmaker is coming back and I couldn't be more excited! One of the Patty's tricks is straight sleek sexy hair.
